ASL Tour: Native American Art

Join our Deaf docent, Aaron Delbruegge, as he leads you through a fascinating tour, covering Native American art – entirely in sign language.
Native American Art & Pueblo Pottery
Experience an innovative American Sign Language (ASL) tour that explores one of the nation’s most enduring art forms—Native American art, made quite literally from the land. This tour will guide visitors through the Native American gallery at the St. Louis Art Museum, with a special focus on the powerful temporary exhibition, Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery. Discover how this unique collection of Pueblo ceramics is deeply connected to contemporary Indigenous knowledge, community, and cultural identity.
Led by a Deaf docent and interpreted in voice, this tour offers inclusive, immersive insight into both historical and living traditions.
This ASL tour was made possible by DEAF, Inc. and St. Louis Art Museum.
